Extreme pogo stick jumping video. Pogo is basically a dance in which the dancers jump up and down, while remaining in the same location. So when you add a jump stick or pogo stick you get pogo jumping. This sport is becoming more and more popular. The pogo stick was invented only 60 years ago and made a lot of improvements. There are annual contests of pogo jumping, communities like the one shown in the video and much more. Some of you might thing it is childish, but look at those tricks performed in a dangerous way. Awesome!

The world of dreams is amazing. We approach a fantasy land during our dreams. Photographer Jan von Holleben knows that. And the German newspaper ZEIT knows Jan von Holleben. ZEIT asked the photographer to create visual work for a feature on dreams and what they mean to us.  Jan von Holleben is known for his Dreams of Flying so this was his case.
The photographer says: “I was a bit bored by redoing my Dreams of Flying images,” he tells us, “but the more I worked on the layouts and ideas, the more excited I became. I started imagining generic dreams but soon decided to make it about a girl’s full night of dreams. That was the key. I looked for a beautiful girl to work with who was not too model-like but instead was very natural, sweet and happy to try various things with me. It’s never a normal photo shoot with my productions as we improvise a lot and try and play.”

A lot of wood and in the middle of the forest. Who or what lives in there? It’s easy to find out – just knock on the door. It’s actually a building, more like an office used as a music studio. The idea of a dutch designer Piet Hein Eek combines natural and artificial human environments. It’s as big as a one room apartment, it has one door and many small windows and all the comforts. We all have hobbies. We do them after our daily work or studies as a thing we do for joy not for just paying the bills. Some have hobbies we couldn’t even imagine of. Isaac G. Salazar is an accountant so he does the “paper work”. One day he came up with an idea of folding the book pages to create messages. Using only old books Isaac contributes to recycling and repurposing so for him it’s a good feeling to know that it  reduces waste. Isaac has made many book art works. It takes 3 days for the simple styles to 2 weeks work for more complicated. Some projects require small cuts and some books may be sprayed to protect the color from fading.

Isaac is from El Paso, Texas, USA. Now he lives in Artesia, New Mexico. His latest ambition is to re-create brand logos he likes. Isaac’s inspiration comes from multiple things and places. For example, Isaac created the recycle symbol on a book titled “A World with out Trees”. Despite the artistic genius inside Isaac he spokes of himself very modest:

“I am someone who has never taken an art class in my life but have stumbled upon making Book Art. I didn’t think I had an artistic bone in my body and never thought of myself as creative.”

Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music and is very popular among street dancers. Marquese Scott wants to show what dubstep is good for. He is from California, USA, member of the dance crew Remote Control and a former military, now viewed more than 5 000 000 times on Youtube. Good beat and good moves are the recipe for a good mood. Dancer Marquese Scott wants you to have good mood. Watch his street-dance for “Butch Clancy” Pumped Up Kicks remix by Foster The People.

As we see his moves are so into the rhythm, it seems that the music controls each piece of his body and soul. At first sight it looks like a slow motion animation. Marquese works for Xcel Talent Agency. You can book him for an ad or movie or other there. He performed also in  TV shows “So You Think You Can Dance” and “America’s Got Talent”. The dancer also has a Facebook profile.

Three Nokia 8s and a whole sea of sand,  as a result Sumo Science and Aardman created Guinness Record for largest stop motion animation. .The film Gulp tells a story of a fisherman  swallowed by a giant fish. It was being filmed with the Nokia N8 phone from start to finish.

The story plot is that a fisherman woke up and went on his daily fishing. He get’s some fish and then a bigger fish skeleton. Next thing he is in the belly of a giant monster fish and founds many sea creatures and that his boat is actually on a mine, The mine accidentally explodes and the fisherman and his boat safely returns. The three Nokia phones are attached to a platform 40 meter high. To create a feeling of a movement many photos are taken and then put together in one slow motion animation. It’s interesting that the fisherman is a real human dressed up in a fisherman’s suit and then used in making the motion picture. To learn more watch the video of about how it was made.

Consumers can buy houses for dogs, Barbie dolls, parrots and now even for their webcams. The paper house is for your personal computer webcam. The small abode is set-up over a webcam built into a computer’s monitor. It’s designed in Japan by architect Ryuji Nakamura. It also has an interior design: small windows, table and chairs to make it more comfy inside. So each webcam picture becomes a piece of art. Here you see yourself becoming small and big at the same time.

This amazing video is filmed entirely on the Nokia N8 mobile phone. It’s the winner of the Nokia Shorts competition 2011. It tells us a story of a young man’s and woman’s journey to find each other. A mix of two realities by Nokia N8 phone cameras.

Remember an uncomfortable situation at the dinner when you accidentally pour out some salt on the table? That is very common. Perhaps one day it also happened to Bashir Sultani who saw it as an opportunity to become an artist and to start create images out of salt.

A very delicate and patient salt art technique. Another proof that real talent has no borders, no limits. That can create something from anything, if you really like to do that.
