Google’s Parent Inspiration

This specific video is a story about a father who opens a Gmail account and uses the web to communicate with his daughter from birth into the future. A father stores notes, videos and pictures of his daughter’s milestone moments: her birth, her brother’s birth, ballet lessons, and a face plant on a snowboard – on Gmail. All this is done over a piano and violin music score by Ingrid Michaelson, which would soften any heart.

Invisible Car

In a promotion for its first production fuel-cell vehicle in Germany, Mercedes-Benz turned a B-Class hatchback invisible. Mercedes’ point was to show how the F-Cell hydrogen fuel cell powered car would be invisible to the environment, producing only water vapor and heat for emissions. Dozens of technicians have covered the whole car with LEDs. The camera on the other side of the car transmits the image to the LEDs, thus creating an invisibility effect. While on a tour in Germany the “invisible car”, has got a lot of stares.

Creative Pin Art

In this post I’ve concentrated on art where the pins are the main focus, rather than a way of art. Fortunately there’s a short video, where we can see a fantastic pin artist in action. He uses push pins to make large-canvas portraits and they are stunning. It is a real challenge to create faces with the quality of something digitally produced. By the author’s own confession it took the most time, the most patience, the most research and the most money to create. This portrait required approximately 15,000 push pins. The final portrait weighs about 19 kg, which includes the cork board. The author has built a wooden frame to support it, so it wouldn’t break under its own weight. The soundtrack in the video is a song by the author, called “Time Catcher”.

Citroën – from Paris to Rome on a single gas tank

H Agency of Paris, which specializes in advertisements and visual marketing, has used a clever visual concept representing the stylish vehicle’s fuel efficiency. As the Citroën C3 driver is filling up his car with gas, the viewer is taken on a preview of the journey the driver is seemingly about to take. The artistic commercial mimics a gas meter counter as it flicks through four different spinning shots of the road ahead between Paris and Rome. While the Citroën C3 Paris-Rome commercial is a smart concept to begin with, it really emphasizes the company’s claim that the Citroen C3 e-HDi can go 1430 km — which is the approximate distance between the capitals of France and Italy — on a single tank of gas.

Vehicle – a music artist

A new music video from OK Go, made in partnership with Chevrolet, released as an advertisement for Super Bowl XLVI, features the band “performing” the song by driving a Chevrolet Aveo, outfitted with retractable pneumatic arms designed to play the instruments, through a rally car course, striking musical instruments on the sides of the course, so it looked like the car is playing the music. OK Go set up over 1000 instruments over two miles of desert outside Los Angeles, where the filming took place. The whole scene took four months of preparation and four days of shooting.

Romantic declaration of love

Just in time for Valentine’s Day a notebook brand – Field Notes created a touching movie clip, promoting its red blooded hand printed notebook, specifically released for February 14th.  A loving husband has prepared an unusual greeting for his wife Tracie on Valentine’s Day. To do this, he turned the new Field Notes red notebook into a sentimental love letter. Valentine’s Day marketing nowadays lacks the emotional core, the abundance of red hearts in every Valentine’s Day advertisement becomes disturbing. A touching commercial like this can bring new ideas on how to create unusual greetings of your most beloved and let them know you love them. Even if you don’t say it.

Flying People in New York City

An original video, made by an advertisement agency Thinkmodo, of three human shaped RC planes flown around New York City and New Jersey to create an illusion of people flying. This interesting viral marketing campaign was designed to promote the Twentieth Century Fox upcoming movie – Chronicle. You can see how parts of the RC aircraft actually move the legs and emulate a human moving in the air. An out of the ordinary idea, worth your attention.

Pogo Pogo

Extreme pogo stick jumping video. Pogo is basically a dance in which the dancers jump up and down, while remaining in the same location. So when you add a jump stick or pogo stick you get pogo jumping. This sport is becoming more and more popular. The pogo stick was invented only 60 years ago and made a lot of improvements. There are annual contests of pogo jumping, communities like the one shown in the video and much more. Some of you might thing it is childish, but look at those tricks performed in a dangerous way. Awesome!

Tempo Unfolds It

Tempo found a way to sell their products better. How about telling a story of a persons life through moments you need Tempo the most: is it a date,  a runny nose or lunch. Publicis made it simple – blue ink pen and a lot of napkins and great images to make a napkin cartoon. It original and touching.
