What a fabulous idea the slide is! And they say Germans have no sense of humour :)

Too bad we see these kind of cool stuff mostly as a part of advertising campaign and not as a sole way to make people’s life more rich in fun experiences. I mean… the fact that behind them are still people who are in it for the money and not for the people.

I agree with Mike. Nobody really does this kinda sh-t unless they’re getting paid. It’s too bad. Too bad creative people can’t be funded by organizations other than Ad companies.

I love the music so much!

That’s so cool. I wish there was a slide in nyc subway stations :]

@James: do you really think they can do all that stuff in supermarkets without paying for it themselves? I don’t see you spending your own money for basicallyl nothing in return. Quid pro quo, buddy.

@James and Yannick: You both couldn’t be more wrong. Look up a group called Improv Everywhere. They do random things like this just for the fun of it.

@Mike: What’s wrong with it being an ad? The fact is, they were going to spend money on ads one way or another, and they could have just put it towards another crappy (but probably more effective) car commercial. Regardless of their motivation, they brightened a lot of people’s day.

Just gotta say, whether it’s an add or not, it’s different. How many companies are putting up slides in subway stations or rigging mall elevators to sound like rocket ships. whether it’s an independent improv group or a major corporation, it’s something new and creative. it put a smile on my face and i didn’t even get to try the slide out.

It is such a shame that they would never be able to do this in the US.

The whole idea of liability is getting out of control.

I think the reason people who are ‘in it for the money’ do this instead of normal people is BECAUSE of the money. If someone randomly wanted to put a skateboard on a Wal-Mart shopping cart, the establishment would say no. If you’re a well-established company with plenty of money to offer for this advertising campaign, of course Wal-Mart or wherever will be more than happy to oblige.

I would happily do this if I wouldn’t get rejected or kicked out.
